Dreamland #22
Dreamland #22
A series made during the winter months in British seaside resorts which along with the beach holiday played a central part in the development of international tourism that, for good and ill, we (the Brits) gave to the world.
The first resorts were in Whitby and Scarborough in North Yorkshire, around 1720, but the south east soon followed, notably in Margate and Brighton. Railways gave greater coastal access and resorts soon sprung up in Blackpool in the north west and Weymouth in the south west.
From the 1960’s, with competition from overseas holidays and the growth of the package tour, the British resort has found it increasingly difficult to survive and has fallen into some decline.

About the print
The C-Type print is made on Fuji Crystal Archive paper by specialist printers Spectrum Photographic. Every print is provided with a white border around the image in order that you can frame or hang the print as you choose.
Each print is individually numbered, with the image and print date, and signed on an accompanying Certificate of Authenticity.
Orders for prints are all supplied unframed as, as well as avoiding additional transport costs, the style of frame or other hanging method is I believe down to the personal taste of each collector.
Your print will be carefully packaged in Kraft paper and posted to you in a strengthened tube to ensure that it reaches you in perfect condition.
I will endeavour to complete your order within 7 working days. UK deliveries are via courier or Royal Mail Tracked and the aim is to get your print to you in 1 to 2 days after collection. All European mainland and international deliveries are shipped by either FedEx, DHL, UPS or TNT and the expectation is for your print to arrive within 7 days after despatch depending on your location.
