These images are from The Cyclades, a group of Greek islands in The Aegean, where I travelled in Spring 2018 and again in Winter that same year.

From the very start of my interest in photography, I have been making multiple frame images. These composites are made from separate pictures on individually exposed sheets or frames of film or, nowadays, digital files.

Curiosities
An amazing country of enormously varied, raw and untamed landscapes. Take a four-wheel drive around the ring road, Route 1, and into the centre of the island if you like your travel tastes strong, straight and unfiltered.
Iceland
The Valley of Rocks on the north coast of Devon in south west England dates from a geologic period 420 million years ago. The features of the valley were formed when the area was at the limit of glaciation in the last Ice Age.

Manmade
The only ‘desert’ in the UK, an exposed flat low-lying headland jutting out into the English Channel, a unique landscape, seemingly post-apocalyptic, with a sense of space and emptiness that is immediately noticeable and felt.
Dungeness
I travelled to Haiti shortly after the overthrow in 1986 of the dictator, Jean-Claude (Baby Doc) Duvalier. Frequently reported for its political violence, the island was experiencing a period of calm and peace, an opportunity to see another face of this fascinating country.

White Light
Images made on the Ashdown Forest in East Sussex during a particularly cold spell of weather in early December 2010. With average temperatures at -1˚C, five degrees below the normal, it was the coldest December in England since records began a century ago.
3 Days in December
British seaside resorts out of season. Along with the beach holiday, they played a key role in the rise of international tourism, but with rivalry from overseas travel and package tours, they found it hard to survive and fell into decline.

Since I first came to Tinos in 2018, I have ventured extensively around the island discovering its less well-known corners and documenting what I found there.
Alternative Facts
Tinos is famous for its marble and for a unique geological phenomenon, giant granite rocks scattered over the largest boulder field in Europe.
